Norma Kelly
On October 14th, we learned of the peaceful death of Norma Louise Kelly, 90, widow of Martin Kelly. Norma and Marty retired to Van Hornesville in 1997, having lived and worked in the Hudson Valley, where Norma taught music for several years.
Early on, Norma joined the Van Hornesville Community Corporation, where she held several positions over the years. She was a VHCC member, a long-standing secretary/administrator for Board Meetings and someone you could always rely on.
Norma was also a devout Christian, and frequently led Bible study groups at the Van Hornesville United Methodist Church. She also played in the musician’s rotation at the Church. She was a dear friend to many in our community.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday November 2nd from 11:00 to 1:00 pm at the J. Seaton McGrath Funeral Home in Richfield Springs, NY. A funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the Funeral Home.
